These terms cover the free LinkedIn rewriter, resume tailoring, and the $29 Pro pass. Using Facet means you accept them.
Facet has two tools. The LinkedIn rewriter takes a headline, resume bullet, About section, or post and returns alternative rewrites. Resume tailoring takes a career record you enter once and a job posting you paste, and returns a resume aimed at that posting plus a gap report.
Both are powered by Google’s Gemini models through their API. Facet is a solo-operated service, not a company with a support desk.
The LinkedIn rewriter is free and unlimited and requires no account.2 tailored resumes are free to read end to end and also require no account.
An account exists so your record and applications survive a browser, and so a pass has an owner. You create one by signing in; there is no separate signup step. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address on the account, because that address is how a pass is identified.
The search pass is a one-time charge, not a subscription. One payment of $29 buys 90 days of unlimited tailored resumes, files and submissions. It ends on the expiry date and at no other bound. Self-serve refunds run for 24 hours from the charge; after that, write to us and a person reads it.
It ends on its own and does not auto-renew. Facet stores no card for it and cannot charge you again unless you deliberately buy another pass. Passes stack rather than extend: if you hold two, the earlier-expiring one is spent first.
Unused resumes and unused days have no cash value and are not carried forward when a pass ends. Refunds are covered by the refund policy, which forms part of these terms: refunded without argument where Facet failed, and considered case by case otherwise, with no fixed window.
A pass works the moment it is paid for. By buying one and using it, you ask for the service to begin immediately and accept that where the law gives you a cancellation period for digital purchases, you lose it once you start spending the pass.
This is why the free tier lets you read a complete tailored resume, gap report included, before any money changes hands: the judgement you would otherwise make during a cancellation period is one you can make before paying at all.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s pages and never reach Facet’s servers. Prices are in US dollars. Where sales tax or VAT applies, it is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay.
If a payment fails or is reversed, the pass it bought stops working.
Rewrites and tailored resumes are produced by a large language model. They can be wrong. You are responsible for reading the output before you send it to an employer.
Facet is built not to invent experience: a requirement in a job posting that your record does not evidence is reported to you in the gap report rather than written into the file. That is a design commitment we take seriously, and it is not a guarantee of a defect-free result. Check your own dates, titles, and numbers.
The rewriter may return bracketed placeholders such as [X]% for you to replace with real figures. Publishing them unedited is on you.
Facet gives no assurance that using it will get you an interview or a job, and makes no claim about how any applicant tracking system will score a file.
You keep every right you have in the text you paste and the files you upload. You grant Facet only the permission needed to process that content in order to give you a result: sending it to the model provider and returning the output to you.
You confirm you have the right to submit what you submit, and that it is truthful about your own history. Do not paste someone else’s resume as your own.
If you turn on encrypted sync, you hold the only key. We cannot read your stored record and cannot recover it if you lose both the recovery code and the browser that holds the key. Keeping that code is your responsibility, and it is the reason we cannot read your record either.
What is stored, and for how long, is set out in what we store.
You agree not to:
Use Facet to produce content you do not have the right to produce; submit content that is unlawful, deceptive, or infringes another’s rights; misrepresent someone else’s experience as your own; scrape, resell, or automate access beyond ordinary individual use; share a Pro pass across multiple people; or interfere with the service or attempt to work around its limits.
Requests are rate-limited per IP address at the network edge. We may block addresses that abuse the service, and may suspend an account that breaks these rules. If we suspend a paid account for reasons other than a breach by you, we refund the unused part of the pass.
Facet depends on third parties, principally Google’s API, and can be unavailable. We do not promise uptime. If an outage costs you a material part of a pass, write to us and we will extend it or refund it.
The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Facet disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Facet is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including lost opportunities or lost employment. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which on the free tier is zero.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
We may update these terms. Material changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date above. A change never alters the terms of a pass you already bought: the 90 days and the price you agreed to stand for that pass.
